Matatoki is a dairy processing company owned by Waituhi Kuratau Trust based in the Coromandel region. The company currently produces high quality organic sheep cheese, yoghurt, bottled milk and ice cream.
About Waituhi Kuratau Trust
Waituhi Kuratau 1A1B2 Trust is a Maori land holding Trust situated in the central North Island, boarding the regions of Taupo and Ruapehu. The farm is situated on the Western Bay Rd, starting at Kuratau Junction in the South, bordering Lake Kuratau in the East and National Park lands in the West and North of the farm boundary. It consists of 25,000 hectares of volcanic pumice and rolling hill country with 2000 hectares in grass and crop land and the remainder in conservation and native bush. With extensive reinvestment of income over the last ten years, the farm is operating as a sustainable business, progressing it’s long term objective to contribute positively to the economic prosperity of it’s owners. The farm substantially runs as a sheep (12000 head) and beef (1400 head) lamb/finishing operation.
