MATA Means Edge, Freshness, Rawness
The concept of our brand and our bottles is focused on the meaning of MATA – Edge.
New Zealand is on the edge of the world, defined by coastal edges, glacial edges and a mighty tectonic edge (fault line) running through the middle of the country.
The MATA logo has a mountainous flow representing New Zealands terrain and its shakey outline New Zealands many faultlines.
If you look at the label, at the front of the bottle above the MATA logo is an abstract drawing of the north island, spin the bottle around to the right and there is an abstract of the south island.
The gap between the label represents the tectonic edge (fault line), which runs through the middle of the country.
