Our core business activity is the packing and coolstorage of kiwifruit and avocado. Te Awanui Huka Pak is a key player in the kiwifuit industry. It is amongst the largest single site kiwifruit packhouses with a production potential of over 5 million trays.

Most of our kiwifruit production is marketed by association with Zespri, but our own Te Awanui brand is exported to India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and North America through collaborative licences.

We are in an excellent location on 3.33ha of prime industrial land at the southern end of Totara Street, Mount Maunganui. That’s where the name “Te Awanui” comes from – the Maori name for the harbour area of what is now called Tauranga. This location gives convenient access to our growers, shipping facilities, and our staff.
